Waterfront Toronto Condos
Toronto is built on the shores of Lake Ontario, one of the largest fresh water bodies in the world. There are clean beaches, bike trails, marinas, entertainment venues, and much more. Not surprisingly, living at the edge the lake is extremely popular.
North of Queen's Quay is a large group of condos and south to Toronto's waterfront is an area that features more condos as well as a multi-purpose area made up of parklands and a community centre. The Harbourfront neighbourhood runs along the Toronto waterfront from Bathurst to Jarvis street with Queen's Quay being the main east west roadway that runs through the neighbourhood. This is definitely one of the prime areas to look at if you are looking to purchase a condo in Toronto.
There is a wonderful sense of community along the waterfront and there is always something intriguing going on whether it be free public skating or live music, plus more. As a condo resident the water is easily accessible. During the summer months there are numerous cultural events and festivals at the Harbourfront Centre. Some neighbourhood landmarks marks are Waterfront Community Centre and City School, Queens Quay Terminal, Toronto Music Garden, Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, HTO Park, Harbour Square and Harbourfront Centre. There are also opportunities to charter boats and ships for dining, sightseeing and fishing. The Toronto Islands are just a short ferry ride away via the Island Ferry which can be found at the bottom of Bay Street.
